The 1977 edition of the annual Five Nations rugby union tournament ( Six Nations since 2000 ) took place on five match days between January 15 and March 19. Tournament winner was France , which achieved the Grand Slam for the second time with victories against all other participants , while second-placed Wales achieved the Triple Crown with wins against all British teams .
