The 1973 edition of the annual Five Nations rugby union tournament ( Six Nations since 2000 ) took place on nine match days between January 13 and April 14. This tournament ended with a one-off result: since each team lost and won two games, there were five tournament winners (the difference in points did not play a role in the tournament mode at that time).
