The 1954 edition of the annual Five Nations rugby union tournament ( Six Nations since 2000 ) took place between January 9th and April 10th. Tournament winners were jointly Wales , England and France (the difference in points played no role in the tournament mode at that time). It was France's first tournament victory, while England managed the Triple Crown with wins against all British teams .
