Imanol Harinordoquy (born February 20, 1980 in Bayonne , Département Pyrénées-Atlantiques ) is a no longer active French rugby union player and member of the Basque ethnic group. He played as a winger or number eight for Biarritz Olympique and the French national team .

Harinordoquy made his debut for France against Wales in 2002. He had previously been the captain of the U21 squad. At that time he was still playing for the Paloise Section before moving to Biarritz for the 2004/05 season. He reached the Grand Slam with France in his first Six Nations . He scored an attempt against England .

Harinordoquy formed one of the strongest third rows of the tournament at the 2003 World Cup, together with Serge Betsen and Olivier Magne . France failed in the semi-finals at eventual world champions England. After more than 30 international matches, he was hardly used after the Six Nations 2005 , reasons for injuries and form fluctuations. For the 2007 World Cup , he was back in the squad and played in five games. The French failed again to England in the semi-finals.
