Thierry Dusautoir (born November 18, 1981 in Abidjan , Ivory Coast ) is a former French rugby union player . He played as a winger for Stade Toulousain and the French national team .

Dusautoir came to France with his family at the age of ten, where he practiced judo until he was 16 . He began his rugby career at Bordeaux-Bègles , then played for a year with US Colomiers before spending two more seasons at Biarritz Olympique . With Biarritz he won the French championship against his current club from Toulouse. In the Heineken Cup in the same season, the club failed to Munster . In 2008 he failed again at the Irish provincial team, this time wearing the Toulouse jersey.

Dusautoir made his debut for the French national team against Romania in 2006 . He was also part of the squad at the World Cup in his own country. He came to five missions. In the quarterfinals he made his first attempt to defeat the All Blacks . Even under the new national coach Marc Lièvremont , he is part of the national team. In October 2009 he was appointed captain of France.
