Dimitri Szarzewski (born January 26, 1983 in Narbonne , Aude ) is a former French rugby union player . He played as a Hakler for Racing Métro 92 and the French national team .

Szarzewski began his career at AS Béziers . In 2004 he moved to the Parisian team Stade Français. In the same year he also made his debut for the national team against Canada . His first attempt was in the home game against South Africa in November 2005.

In 2007 Szarzewski managed to win the championship title in the top 14 , the first French professional league, with Stade Français . He was then also nominated for the 2007 World Cup in his own country, in which France took fourth place. At the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand , Dimitri Szarzewski was runner-up with his national team.

On May 29, 2019, Dimitri Szarzewski announced that he would end his playing career at the end of the season and coach his club's youth team.
