Donzelinho Branco is a white wine variety . Translated, this means a white servant . It is an autochthonous variety in Portugal . Their cultivation is recommended in the Trás-os-Montes region . In the 1990s a planted vineyard area of 644 hectares was raised.

The medium-early ripening, low-yielding variety delivers light white wines with a beautiful lemon-yellow color and a fragrance that is vaguely reminiscent of lavender water. The variety finds its way into the white port wine . Donzelinho Branco is a variety of the noble grapevine ( Vitis vinifera ). It has hermaphroditic flowers and is therefore self-fruiting. In viticulture , the economic disadvantage of not having to grow male plants that produce yield is avoided.

Synonyms: Donzellinho Branco, Rabigato (but not related to the Rabigato variety ) and Terrantez
