Doomina is an instrumental post-rock band from Klagenfurt that was founded in 2006.

history

Doomina was founded in 2006 by Daniel Gedermann ( guitar ) in Klagenfurt as a doom metal band with stoner rock and sludge influences. In 2007 Christian Oberlercher ( bass ) joined them. The line-up of the band changed again and again, until 2012 the current formation with Erich Kuttnig ( drums ) and Lukas Geyer (guitar) was formed. Even more than the debut album Elsewhere (2012), the album Beauty (2013) is increasingly assigned to the post-rock genre. Doomina is characterized by complex arrangements of powerful and atmospheric instrumental music and attaches great importance to detailed, sophisticated songwriting. With the self-titled album Doomina (2015) the band performed at DUNK !, one of the largest European post-rock festivals in Belgium, alongside Jakob , Caspian and Mono and received very good reviews internationally. There were other gigs with musicians like the Russian Circles , God Is an Astronaut , ef , Color Haze , the Truckfighters and Jaye Jayle . The fourth studio album Orenda , which again received good reviews, was released on October 19, 2018 by the Austrian label Noise Appeal Records , and the video for track I, Barbarian with Michael Pink has been online since October 9, 2018.
