Double feed

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The double feed is a form of antenna coupling . This refers to the feeding of a vertical radiator , for example a self-radiating transmitter mast , at two points. For this purpose, the transmission mast , the transmission tower or the trap antenna used must be subdivided with a separating insulator . The upper sections are fed via a cable laid in the mast or tower structure. The double feed is used to implement fading-reducing transmit antennas .
