Base point feed

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The base point feed is a form of antenna coupling . This means feeding a vertical radiator , for example in the form of a self-radiating transmitter mast , at its base. For this, the vertical radiator must be isolated from the ground .

In the case of a quarter-wave radiator , the voltage minimum and the current maximum are located at the feed point with the base point feed, and in the case of a half-wave radiator there is a voltage maximum and a current minimum. The power adjustment to the impedance of the coaxial cable from the transmitter building is done by a resonant transformer .
