Dorcus Inzikuru (born February 2, 1982 in Verra Ezuku , Uganda ) is a former Ugandan athlete .

Inzikuru won the gold medal in the 3000 meter obstacle course at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki , making her the first female world champion in this discipline (9: 18.24 min). She is also the first Ugandan to win a medal in international competitions. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , she was a member of the Ugandan squad. In the 3000-meter obstacle course there, she finished seventh in her preliminary run with a time of 9: 35.29 minutes, thus missing out on the finals and in the final classification, she finished 20th out of 44 runners. Before that, she had already participated in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , where she was eliminated over 5000 meters in the preliminary run.

Dorcus Inzikuru is married to Martin Bosco Acidri and has a daughter named Emmanuella. The athlete's first name is "Dorcus". But because the name is misspelled in her passport, she is usually listed as "Docus" in the results lists of international competitions. With a height of 1.56 m, she had a competition weight of 51 kg. Other sources, however, ascribed to her at the time of the Olympic Games in London a height of 1.62 m with a competition weight of 50 kg.

Inzikuru has been working for the Ugandan police since 2014.
