The village church in Alt Schönau , a district of the municipality of Peenehagen in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , dates back to the 14th century. It is one of the churches in the parish of Groß Gievitz in the Rostock provost in the Mecklenburg parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany ( Northern Church ).
