The Protestant village church Arnsgrün is in the Arnsgrün district of the town of Zeulenroda-Triebes in the Greiz district in Thuringia . It belongs to the Pöllwitz-Schönbach parish in the Greiz parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

The church is to the 15th century in place of a Romanesque chapel - in the amount of today's sanctuary have been built -. Around 1660 the church was first named with the village of Arnsgrün. The nave was enlarged and the pulpit was also built. 100 years later it was painted at the instigation of the local judge Schlaub. The tower clock was installed. The organ was created in 1784 by the Trampel brothers from Adorf . In 1842 exterior plaster was applied to the building for the first time. In 1966 there was a fire in the tower due to lightning.

When Arnsgrün came to the Pöllwitz parish in 1993 , the funeral hall was built in the cemetery . Afterwards the electric bell and a new tower clock were procured. The flooring of the attic and the restoration of the organ by the Trampel company followed.
