The Dorpskerk ( German  village church ) is an Evangelical Reformed parish church in Biggekerke on Walcheren in the Dutch municipality of Veere .

history

Biggekerke was parish off from the Westmünster in Middelburg before 1231 . Until the Reformation was introduced , the church may have been dedicated to St. Begga . The tower and the three-sided choir of the Gothic church were built around 1400, the nave is probably even older. The church was damaged during the Eighty Years' War between 1572 and 1574 and restored in the 17th century. During a restoration in 1957, the sacristy was added. Today the parish belongs to the uniate Protestantse Kerk in Nederland . The parish also merged with Meliskerke in 1998 to form a common parish.

organ

The organ was built in 1971 by the company Fama & Raadgever (Maarssen). It is a pure organ positive with 6 manual registers (C – f 3 : Holpijp 8 ′, Prestant 4 ′, Roerfluit 4 ′, Octaaf 2 ′, Mixtuur, Sesquialter II) and an attached pedal (C – d 1 ). The actions are mechanical.
