The village church

The Evangelical Lutheran village church of Brno stands on a hill on the outskirts of the municipality of Brno in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

It was built on the site of a chapel between 1670 and 1672 and consecrated in October 1672.

The floor plan is an elongated, easted rectangle. The chamfered at the corners chancel is a gewalmten pitched roof provided, which from a ridge turret with verschiefertem helmet and finial and weather vane is crowned.

The organ is equipped with a special carillon that can be heard every Christmas.

The center of the church is the life-size crucifix above the altar, first mentioned in 1731 .

During the recent major renovations, paintings and decorations on the pulpit were uncovered in the interior , which were created in 1731 by the Hildburghausen carver and painter Johann Stamm.

In 1903 the parish bought the chandelier .
