The Protestant village church Burgholzhausen is located in Burgholzhausen , a place in the municipality of Eckartsberga in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt . It is a listed building and is registered with the registration number 094 17081 in the state's monument register.

building

The building consists of a flat-roofed hall that was dated to 1611 with an inscription by Christoph German Steinmetz. The west tower of the church dates from 1847. Between 1935 and 1936 the building was completely rebuilt.

Furnishing

The pulpit with its coat of arms relief can be dated to 1612 with an inscription. The round baptismal font of the church dates from the same time. The gallery and the organ were built in 1849. On the east wall of the choir is a relief made in 1936 by Johann Bichler from Munich depicting the Adoration of The Three Kings .

Gravestones and epitaphs

A marble epitaph was built for Georg Caspar von Marschall , who died in 1694 . Another for an E. von Marschall 1709. Several of the church's tombstones date from the period between the 16th and 18th centuries.

Others

Four richly carved, late Gothic wooden pillars can be seen in the vestibule of the building.
