Druxberge village church
The village church Druxberge is the Protestant church of the village Druxberge in Saxony-Anhalt .
History and architecture
A church in Druxberge is mentioned as early as 1257. Some parts of the cemetery wall of this church building are still present. From 1864 to 1866, today's church was built as a hall church based on plans by Friedrich August Stüler in the neo-Romanesque style . The square tower to the west of the nave has moved into the nave. On the east side of the church there is a semicircular windowless apse with stepped buttresses . The facade is structured by pilaster strips and arched friezes.
The interior of the church is covered by a boarded roof structure. On the horseshoe gallery is a mechanical organ created in 1868 by the organ builder August Troch from Neuhaldensleben , which is still in its original state. The rest of the furnishings come from the time the church was built.
A cross stone from the 13th century set into the cemetery wall and a figural tombstone of Kurt von Penningsack, who died in 1585, are remarkable .
