The village church Göpfersdorf is located in the municipality of Göpfersdorf in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia .

history

The church was first mentioned in a document in 1413. There is no record of a year of construction. The nave and the flat ceiling are Romanesque. In the 16th century, the Romanesque complex was rebuilt in late Gothic style. In 1829 there was a renovation with the Romanesque apse with choir and nave with flat ceiling.

The organ from the Hesse company from Lunzenau was inaugurated in 1830. The consecration of the new bells took place on May 9, 1954. 1993–1994 the restoration of the exterior and interior took place.

The organ was completely overhauled in 2006–2007.
