The church

The Hainspitz village church is located in the Hainspitz district of the city of Eisenberg in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish Eisenberg Saasa in Kirchenkreis Eisenberg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

location

The church is centrally located in the district and lies west of the federal highway 9 and west of the city limits of Eisenberg.

history

The origins of this hall church with a polygonal choir and a large easterly ridge turret are probably in the 12th century .

Conversions in the 18th and 19th centuries shape the image of the church today. The portal is in the west with the pillared portico built in 1914.

Furnishing

There is a circumferential gallery with the pulpit altar . The organ by Christoph Opitz from Dobra was installed in 1848.

The kneeling baptismal angel from the 19th century and the bell from 1518 are treasures of Protestant culture.
