history
After the previous church was demolished in 1781 except for the steeple , the new church was built from 1782 to 1785. In the tower there is still a stump from the 15th century. With a height of 48 meters including the dome design, the raised new tower is the largest church tower in the region.
Furnishing
The large nave with two galleries serves as a place of worship as well as seven neighboring towns. The mighty late baroque pulpit altar with early classicistic influences characterizes the room.
The organ with two manuals and 25 registers, a work by the master organ builder Johann Gottlob Trampeli from Adorf , was installed in 1788.
From 1990 onwards, the roof, the facade and the interior were repaired during extensive renovation measures.
