Hohndorf is a place in the district of Cossengrün / Hohndorf / Schönbach in the city of Greiz in the district of Greiz in Thuringia .

The district of Hohndorf lies with its district on the border with Saxony and borders directly on the corridor of the city of Elsterberg .

history

The first documentary mention of the place took place on May 23, 1449. In 1864 Hohndorf had 59 houses in which 420 people lived. The place is dominated by agriculture, but has 15 commercial residents. The parish represents the Protestant denomination.

In 1999 Hohndorf merged with a few other places to form the Vogtland Oberland community. This was split up on December 31, 2012 and Hohndorf was incorporated into Greiz.
