After the state structure in the GDR was dissolved, the place was incorporated into the Greiz district in the Gera district in 1952 and Pansdorf was incorporated into 1958 (which was also Saxon until 1952) . After 1990 there was no return to Saxony. The place belonged from 1994 to Hohndorf and from 1999 to the Thuringian community Vogtland Oberland . When it was dissolved, Tremnitz was incorporated into the city of Greiz on December 31, 2012. Today 50 people live in the hamlet.
