The Kölbelmühle is a single settlement in the Cossengrün / Hohndorf / Schönbach district of the city of Greiz in the Greiz district in Thuringia . The homestead belongs to the Schönbach district .

location

The Kölbelmühle is located in the valley of the Triebitzbach. Schönbach lies to the southeast, Eubenberg to the northwest and the Kesselmühle to the south. The border with Saxony is 200 meters to the north and approx. 1000 meters to the south.

history

In addition to the boiler mill and the Steiner mill the Kölbelmühle was one of the grinders in Triebitzbachtal. It produced flour for the town of Schönbach. At the end of the 19th century the building housed the "Zur Kölbelmühle" inn. The farm was taken over in 1955 by VEB Papierfabrik Greiz and expanded to become the "Willi Neumann" children's holiday home.

The Kölbelmühle initially belonged to the municipality of Schönbach and then became part of the new municipality of Vogtländisches Oberland in 1997 . This was dissolved on December 31, 2012, and the Kölbelmühle has belonged to the city of Greiz ever since.
