Gommla is a district of the city of Greiz in the district of Greiz in Thuringia .

Gommla is located west of the Elstertal near Greiz on a hilly high plateau of the Thuringian Slate Mountains . A forest area begins to the east of the district and extends down into the valley to the river. The federal highway 92 and state road 94 affect Gommla and the individual property Pommeranz .

history

On October 4, 1209, the agricultural place was first mentioned in a document. Until it was incorporated into Greiz on October 1, 1922, the village consisted of the communities Alt- and Neugommla. A former inn has been a parish hall since 1934 .
