The hamlet of Neu-Moschwitz (formerly Neu-Moschwitz 2 ) belongs to the Moschwitz district of the city of Greiz in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

location

Neu-Moschwitz is northeast of Moschwitz and west of Obergrochlitz . It has grown together with the neighboring Untergrochlitz district and was incorporated into Greiz with these places in 1922.

history

The hamlet was built as "Neu-Moschwitz 2" between 1890 and 1920 on Untergrochlitzer Straße, today Spitzackerweg. In the meantime, Untergrochlitzer Straße has also been developed from Untergrochlitz out of the valley, which means that both places have grown together. The hamlet still belongs to Moschwitz.

"Neu-Moschwitz 1" initially referred to the mill houses and linden houses . However, this name is no longer used today, which is why Neu-Moschwitz 2 is only called "Neu-Moschwitz".
