The church

The village church of Laasdorf is located in the municipality of Laasdorf in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish in Stadtroda Kirchenkreis Eisenberg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

In 1770/71 the hall church was built on the foundations of its predecessor.

Nave

In the nave , the furnishings from the 18th century have been completely preserved. There is a free-standing altar in the choir . There are two late Gothic carved figures on either side. The predella was created by the painter Paul Neidhardt from Gera on the subject of Jesus as a good shepherd .

There are galleries on three sides of the ship. The organ was created in 1773 by Christian Sigismund Voigt from Uhlstädt .

Two bells were raised in the church in 1855. The big one was melted down during World War I.
