The Protestant village church Lichstedt is located in the Lichstedt district of the city of Rudolstadt in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

The church tower with battlements and high point indicates a former fortified church in the direction of Rudolstadt .
The fortified church was dilapidated in 1863 and was rebuilt in 1867. It still presents itself as defensive today.
