The evangelical village church Mielesdorf is in the district Mielesdorf of the city of Tanna in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

history

After a fire destroyed the previous building, the current church was built in 1719, the cost of which Heinrich IX. (Schleiz) had taken over.

The middle shrine of a Gothic winged altar with Maria, Katharina and Barbara, which is attached to the right of the triumphal arch, comes from the old church . The pulpit is above the altar .

On the cover is a work by Elly-Viola Nahmmacher - Heavenly Jerusalem, a wreath of thorns and a wreath of rays combined. Death is swallowed up in victory, said Paul.

In the recent past, the roof, windows, facade, floor, chairs and the sound system were repaired with funding, donations and personal contributions.

The bells hang freely in the lantern and are visible from below. The largest dates from 1856.
