The village church Trebbichau is the Protestant church of Trebbichau in the unified community Easterienburger Land in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld in Saxony-Anhalt . The sacred building is under monument protection and is entered in the monument register with registration number 094 09392 as a monument . The church belongs to the parish office Osternienburg in the parish of Köthen of the Evangelical Church of Anhalt .

location

The church is on the north side of Trebbichauer Lindenstrasse . To the southwest opposite are the Völkerschlachtdenkmal and the volunteer fire brigade, to the north the cemetery. There is also a war memorial for the First World War on the church itself.

History and architecture

In 1890 and 1891 a neo-Gothic brick church with a west tower, hall and polygonal choir was built. The inauguration took place on October 30, 1892. The previous church is said to have been built in 1667 by Friedrich von Wuthenau . Since the church registers are older than this building and begin as early as 1654, this baroque church must also have had a predecessor.

The parish relationships changed several times, and so the church of Trebbichau was temporarily incorporated into Osternienburg, later also to Pißdorf. Another predecessor is mentioned by Heinrich Lindner. According to this, the old church was demolished in 1794 and rebuilt, the tower followed in 1817. Since Lindner describes the predecessor as ancient, Wuthenau's new building may only have affected parts of the church, so that today's church would be the third at this point.

Interior and outfit

In the tower there is a bell made by the Ulrich brothers from Laucha , which was cast in 1891. The rest of the furnishings ( Rühlmann organ from 1892, altar, baptismal font, wooden pulpit, stalls, coffered ceiling ) date from the time of construction.
