Doris Kammerlander

Doris Pollet-Kammerlander , née Pollet (born February 8, 1949 in Vienna ) is an Austrian sociologist and former politician ( Greens ). Pollet-Kammerlander represented the Greens from 1994 to 1999 as a member of the Austrian National Council .

After primary school, Pollet-Kammerlander attended a general secondary school from 1959 to 1967 and studied sociology at the University of Vienna after graduating from high school . She completed her studies in 1973 with the academic degree Mag. Rer. soc. oec. from. Pollet-Kammerlander was employed as a trainee in the general secretariat of the Economic Development Institute and from 1974 to 1980 worked in Graz as a freelance sociologist in the field of housing, spatial planning, regional planning and urban planning. From 1981 she was employed at the institute for environmental research of the research company Joanneum and between 1990 and 1992 managing director of the Alpen Adria Alternativ association. From 1992 she was also the managing chairwoman of the Green Education Workshop .

Pollet-Kammerlander was from 1983 to 1986 a member of the City Council of Graz and from 1986 to 1992 Federal Committee spokeswoman for the Green Alternative. Pollet-Kammerlander represented the Greens from November 7, 1994 to January 14, 1996 and from March 14, 1996 to October 28, 1999 in the National Council. She was also the women's and foreign policy spokesperson for the Greens. In 1999 she left politics and, as an OSCE observer in Montenegro, headed the OSCE Human Rights Office in Podgorica.
