The Dormant River is a tributary of the Salt River in Dominica . It runs in Parish St. John and flows into the Salt River just before it flows into the Caribbean Sea in Douglas Bay .

geography

The Dormant River rises in the western foothills of the Morne aux Diables ( ⊙ ). It flows south on steep terrain and meanders a few more times to the west and south in the lower reaches before flowing into the Salt River.
