Dorna is a district of the city of Kemberg in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .
Geography and traffic
Dorna is at an altitude of 69 m u. NN, around twelve kilometers southeast of Lutherstadt Wittenberg south of the Elbe . The federal highway 182 , which connects Wittenberg and Torgau , runs past the village . To the south of the village is the Dübener Heide .
history
The place was in the Saxon office of Wittenberg until 1815 and then came to the Prussian province of Saxony . In 1513 the spelling of the place name was Dornow . The municipality of Dorna lost its political independence on January 1, 2007 when it was incorporated into the city of Kemberg .
