Dorothy Walton
Dorothy Louise Walton (born August 7, 1909 in Swift Current , † October 17, 1981 in Toronto , born Dorothy McKenzie ) was a Canadian badminton player .
Career
Dorothy Walton was one of the most important badminton players in the early days of this sport in Canada. She won her first Canadian women's singles title in 1936. In 1938 she won the women's singles again. In 1939 she caused the big sensation at the All England when she won the individual competition there. In 1940 she won again in singles and doubles in the national championships.
