The Dorsch Group is one of the largest planning groups in Germany. It has around 2,000 employees and is active in around 40 countries. With a 70% stake in Dorsch Holding GmbH, the parent company of all companies belonging to the Dorsch Group, the RAG-Stiftung is the main owner of the entire group of companies.

The company was founded in 1951 by Franz Xaver Dorsch with the company Dorsch Consult engineering company with limited liability .

The Dorsch Group includes seven subsidiaries as well as a large number of branches and project offices in Germany and abroad. Major projects include, for example, the expansion of the Middle Ring Southwest in Munich, the new Medina Airport in Saudi Arabia , the Emscher sewer as part of the Emscher system conversion project , the rehabilitation of the water network in the Syrian city of Aleppo, several pipeline projects in India and the city expansion of Abu Dhabi for more than 80,000 residents.
