The Dory Nunatak is a 1.7 km long Nunatak from sandstone in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Convoy Range, it rises from the southwestern part of the flight deck firn field 2.5 km southwest of Dotson Ridge .
A team working in this area between 1989 and 1990 as part of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program named him after a dory . The reason for this name is that the Nunatak appears like a small sailing boat in the middle of the ice masses.
