Dotson Ridge is a 1640 m high nunatak in the shape of a mountain ridge in East Antarctica Victoria Land . In the Convoy Range it rises over a length of 2.5 km in the northwest section of the flight deck firn field .
The United States Geological Survey mapped the Nunatak using its own measurements and aerial photographs by the United States Navy . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1964 after Morris F. Dotson, an electrician at McMurdo Station in 1962.
