Richard Dostálek (born April 26, 1974 in Uherské Hradiště , Moravia , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech football player .

Career

Dostálek began his professional career at Boby Brno . Between 1994 and 1996 he played eight games for the Czech U-21 team in which he scored one goal. In 1998 the tech-savvy midfielder moved to Slavia Prague .

In January 2004 Dostálek went to the Russian league to Rubin Kazan . After only one season he returned to the Czech Republic, this time to his hometown for 1. FC Slovácko . He only stayed there for half a year before the second division club FC Erzgebirge Aue signed him in the summer of 2005. In the 2007/08 season Dostálek was under contract with Sportfreunde Siegen in the Regionalliga Süd. Due to a severe cruciate ligament injury, he was unable to play a competitive game for the Sportfreunde.

In July 2008 Dostálek moved to the Czech fourth division club SK Líšeň from Brno . In January 2009 he moved to the first division club FC Tescoma Zlín on loan . In July 2009 Dostálek moved to his former club 1. FC Brno . In two seasons for Brno he scored 10 goals in 53 games before moving to the Czech MSFL for SK Líšeň in autumn 2011 . After a season and the relegation of SK Líšeň in the Divize , he left the club. In the summer of 2012, he was hired as a playing assistant coach at MFK Vyškov . After showing good performance there, he returned to MSFL in winter 2012 and signed with MSK Břeclav.

International

For the Czech national team Dostálek played five games, two in 1996 and three in the 2002/03 season.

As a trainer

In the summer of 2012 he worked for five months as a playing assistant coach for the Divize club MFK Vyškov .
