Douglas A. Irwin

Douglas A. Irwin (* 1962 ) is an American economist .

Life

Irwin teaches as Professor of Arts and Sciences in the economics department of Dartmouth College in Hanover , New Hampshire . He is the author, co-author and editor of books and other academic articles on questions of economic history , trade policy , especially the USA from the colonial era to the present day, as well as free trade .

Irwin has served on the President's Council of Economic Advisers and served on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System .
