Douna Loup

Douna Loup (born 1982 in Geneva ) is a Swiss francophone writer.

Life

Douna Loup is a child of a family of puppeteers . She grew up in the Drôme department in France. When she was eighteen she did a social service in Madagascar for a few months . She married and lived near Nantes and since 2013 in French-speaking Switzerland again . Loup published her first book Mopaya in 2010 with interviews with the Congolese immigrant Gabriel Nganga Nseka, and in the same year her first novel L'Embrasure , which immediately won several awards. In 2011 Loup received, among other things, a Schiller Prize .
