Down by Law is an American punk band around singer / guitarist Dave Smalley (Ex- DYS , Dag Nasty , Sharpshooters and All ) that was founded in 1990 . The band has established itself as a globally respected punk band. Until 1997 the group released their CDs on the label Epitaph Records . The album Windward Tides and Wayward Sails was first released on Union Label Group .
