Down to the Bone (band)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Down to the Bone is a British acid jazz band. The name is derived from a former London club called To The Bone , which was located in the Villa Stefano in the Holborn district. It was founded at the end of 1995 by Stuart Wade and Chris Morgans (who has since left). The group is very popular in the UK. Down to the Bone are revered as the "kings of British jazz groove", a style of music mixed from funk and jazz . The group currently consists of the members Graham Flowers, Simon Greenaway and Stuart Wade.

Down to the Bone is unique in that band leader Stuart Wade does not play an instrument. He therefore uses a dictation machine to rehearse new songs .
