Dr. Cook fan

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dr. Koch Ventilator was a rock band from Berlin that was founded in 1980. The band sang in English in their early days and was called Joiners Bench . When the band started singing in German , they changed their name to Dr. Cook fan . This is a modification of the name Van der Graaf Generator , which was also named after a progressive band from that time. Dr. Koch Ventilator were often attributed to the New German Wave . Their titles also appeared on some NDW samplers. In fact, there are some typical NDW elements such as synth sounds that have been mixed with jazz rock. The style of many NDW bands also corresponds to the bizarre group name and cover designs.

The band released three albums , two of which were later released on CD .

Shortly after the third album, the band broke up.
