history

The Reichert Verlag was founded in 1969 by the medievalist Ludwig Reichert in Wiesbaden-Dotzheim (Kohlheck). He was previously responsible for the Leipzig-based Harrassowitz Verlag in Wiesbaden.

He became one of the few German-language facsimile publishers and, with his program, for which u. a. medieval facsimiles have a reputation in international professional circles. For years, the regular customer base has also included collectors. In 1994 daughter Ursula Reichert became the owner of the publishing house. She introduced print-on-demand at Reichert Verlag .

The publisher takes u. a. participated in the German Orientalist Day, German Art Historian Day and the Byzantine Conference. The publishing management follows an intercultural approach. Some of the works are published in English.

General

The publishing program with over 2,500 titles (archeology, book and library studies, facsimile, history, art history, music, oriental studies, psychotherapy, religious studies, linguistics, etc.) includes books, magazines and maps, as well as the standard work Tübingen Atlas of the Middle East (TAVO ). Various archaeological and art-historical series are being published. With the zeitpunkt musik series , the publishing house is one of the most important publishers for music therapy specialist literature.
