The 836 m high Drechselberg belongs to the municipality of Schönsee in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf , Bavaria and is located between Schönsee and Stadlern . Its summit is wooded and offers no view. On its western slope facing Schönsee there is a toboggan run and a small chapel, the "Magdalena", built in 1828. A way of the cross leads up to this chapel from the Schönsee outdoor pool. On “Women's Day”, August 15th, Assumption of Mary, many people from Schönsee make a pilgrimage over the Drechselberg to the pilgrimage church in Stadlern .
The geotopes Steinfelsen and Magdalenafels are located on the northwest slope of the Drechselberg.
The Lohbach rises on the northeast slope of the Drechselberg .
