The U23 championship is planned on a circuit on which the Luxembourg road championships were held in 2011. The organizing club is VC Diekirch .

The championship was originally planned for June 13, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the World Cycling Federation UCI canceled all international races until July 1st on April 15th. If necessary, the three-country championship should be rescheduled for a later date. The first weekend in August was announced as the new date at the end of April 2020, provided that cycling events in Luxembourg can be held again by then and the travel regulations in Germany and Switzerland allow participation.

On July 20, 2020, it was announced that the deadline on August 2 would not be met due to the classification of Luxembourg as a risk area. Whether the championships will be postponed again or canceled for 2020 remains to be checked.
