The Dreifaltigkeits Friedhof , also Dreifaltigkeitskirchhof IV , is a Protestant cemetery in Berlin . It lies at the Paul-Schneider-Strasse 46/50 in the district Lankwitz of the borough of Steglitz-Zehlendorf of Berlin, immediately adjacent to the municipal park Lankwitz .

The Trinity Cemetery has an area of ​​17,000 m², a chapel and a separate bell tower. It has an elongated shape, the grave fields extend to the right and left of the middle path leading to the chapel. A facility for the victims of war and tyranny with 37 individual graves is located in the cemetery, which includes almost 2,400 grave sites.

The cemetery is connected to public transport via the Paul-Schneider-Straße bus stop (buses 181 and 283), which is less than 100 meters away .

history

In 1899 the Dreifaltigkeitsgemeinde acquired the six- acre property at what was then Straße 16 of the Lankwitz development plan, which was called Lutherstraße from 1906 and has been called Paul-Schneider-Straße since 1961. In 1902 the chapel was built by the architect Otto Kuhlmann . The cemetery was opened in 1903 and the first burial took place.

Since the 1950s, the cemetery has been under the joint administration of the three evangelical parishes Paul-Schneider, Dreifaltigkeit and Luther ( cemetery administration of the Evangelical parishes of Lankwitz and Luther ) and is now supported by the joint cemetery commission ( cemetery commission of the evangelical parishes of Lankwitz and Luther ).
