Dressage studies

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dressur-Studien is a specialist magazine for riders .

history

In autumn 2004, the journalist Claudia Sanders began to publish the dressage studies as an online magazine. The first print edition appeared on March 1, 2005 with an initial print run of 1,000 issues. The booklet in A5 format appears four times a year. The print run (as of January 2014) is 20,000 issues. The editions from 2005–2010 and partly 2011 are out of print and have collector's value.

Each issue has 108-132 pages (since 2007 132 pages throughout) and 95% is devoted to a topic that is viewed from the perspective of different riding styles . For example, not only classical trainers such as Heike Kemmer and Ingrid Klimke , but also the founder of the academic art of riding Bent Branderup and Marc de Broissia , who felt obliged to the Iberian school, and the western trainer George Maschalani were asked about the subject of “ gallop ” . This conception of the purely themed magazine is so far unique for the German equestrian magazine market.

In terms of content, the editorial team is supported by an advisory board. It includes Christoph Hess (FN training ambassador and former head of the personal members department of the German Equestrian Association , FN), Eckart Meyners (sports pedagogue, University of Lüneburg) and Richard Hinrichs (President of the Federal Association for Classical-Baroque Equestrian Germany eV ). Since January 2014, the advisory board includes the veterinarian, working equitation trainer and husband of dressage rider Uta Gräf , Stefan Schneider.

The target group of the magazine are both sport and leisure riders who are interested in dressage riding .
