Driss M'Hammedi

Driss M'Hammedi ( Arabic إدريس محمدي, DMG Idrīs Muḥammadī ; * March 30, 1912 in Fez ; † March 9, 1969 in Meknes ) was a Moroccan politician of the Independence Party ( Parti de l'Istiqlal ) .

Life

Driss M'Hammedi, who was a member of the Independence Party ( Parti de l'Istiqlal ) , was Minister of State (Ministre d'État) between December 7, 1955 and October 26, 1956 in the first government of Morocco, led by Prime Minister Mubarek Bekkai was formed. He then held the post of Minister of the Interior (Ministre de l'Intérieur) in the Bekkai cabinet from October 26, 1956 to April 16, 1958 . He took over the office of Interior Minister between December 24, 1958 and May 21, 1960 in the cabinet of Prime Minister Abdallah Ibrahim .

Subsequently, M'Hammedi took over in the royal government of King Mohammed V on May 27, 1960 from Abdallah Ibrahim the office of Foreign Minister (Ministre des Affaires étrangères) , which he also held in the Royal from May 26 to June 2, 1961 Reigned by King Hassan II . His last position was between 1965 and his death in 1969 as Director General of the Royal Cabinet.
