Drnje - town center

Drnje is a village in the Croatian Koprivnica-Križevci County , northeast of Koprivnica , with 1,863 inhabitants (2011 census). The settlements of Botovo, Drnje and Torčec belong to the municipality.

During the refugee crisis in Europe from 2015 onwards , Botovo was for a time the “last loophole” in the Hungarian border fence, where refugees continued to travel to Austria without regular registration.
