The Dry River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of Queensland . It is located in the Far North Queensland region .

geography

The river rises about 150 km west-northwest of Cairns in the Atherton Tablelands , part of the Great Dividing Range . It flows in many meanders to the northwest and flows into the Mitchell River between the settlements of St. George Outstation and Mount Mulgrave .
